Semillas nació de una profunda sensación de desesperanza ante la situación política y humanitaria que vivimos. A partir de ahí me acerqué, entrevisté y fotografié a seis mujeres vinculadas a distintas tradiciones espirituales y filosóficas: budismo tibetano, budismo zen, islam, judaísmo reformista, catolicismo y pensamiento no dual. El proyecto investiga, desde la fotografía, la imagen en movimiento y la conversación, cómo estas mujeres viven su espiritualidad y cómo esta se traduce en formas concretas de posicionarse en el mundo. Lo que me impulsó a realizar este proyecto fue esta inquietud: ¿es la espiritualidad una vía de escape o una forma de estar y comprometerse con el mundo?

El proyecto reúne a Lama Tsondru — budismo tibetano; Yael Cobano — judaísmo reformista; Mónica Cavallé — pensamiento no dual; Kaidō Begoña Agiriano — budismo zen; Wadia N Duhni — islam; y Sor Lucía Caram — catolicismo.

Semillas (seeds) was born from a deep sense of hopelessness in response to the political and humanitarian situation we are living through. From there, I approached, interviewed and photographed six women connected to different spiritual and philosophical traditions: Tibetan Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Islam, Reform Judaism, Catholicism and non-dual thought. Through photography, moving image and conversation, the project explores how these women experience their spirituality and how it translates into concrete ways of positioning themselves in the world. What moved me to undertake this project was this question: is spirituality a form of escape, or a way of being in and engaging with the world?
